Announcement of our Annual

International High School Essay Contest

As a mandated element of the Annual International
Achievement Week Observance

There are cash prizes at the local, district, and international levels.
The local winner will be automatically submitted for the 3rd District competition.

Awards:
Local Award: $500.00

1^st Scholarship: $5,000

2^nd Scholarship: $3,000

3^rd Scholarship: $2,000

4^th Scholarship: $1,000

International scholarship winners will be announced on or about June 1, 2027.

Eligibility:
The Contest is open to college-bound, high school seniors, who live in and/or attending Fairfax Co. or Arlington Co. Schools

and submit an essay application through a Chapter of the Fraternity (Apply Below).

Contest Closes:
October 31, 2026

The essay must be entitled:

“How Can Young People Use Leadership, Service, and Innovation to Create Positive Change in Their Communities?”

The essay must be original and neither previously
published nor secured by copyright.

The essay must be between 700 and 750 words in length.

The type-written essay may be copy & pasted or written in Microsoft Word and uploaded here (below), or emailed to scholarship@psiaa.com
