During the month of May 2020, the Brothers of Psi Alpha Alpha (PsiAA) chapter, Third District, Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. conducted our second virtual health initiatives workout event, due to the current environment related to COVID-19 and the stay at home order and social distancing in Virginia. The event was for Brothers to continue participate and encourage each r Brothers to engage consistently in various healthy activities. The event was a tremendous success with 56-chapter Brothers participating. The activities included walk/run, biking, cardio, High Intensity Interval Training (H.I.I.T.), weight training, abs/core workout, sit-ups/crunches, push-ups, pull-ups, and water intake. The Brothers exercised great ingenuity utilizing the tools at their disposal by walking their stairs at home and the neighborhood and biking the city. Outstanding work from the great Brothers of the Psi Alpha Alpha chapter.

The Supreme Basileus tells us in Ecclesiastics 30:15, "Health and good estate of body are above all gold, and a strong body above infinite wealth."

PsiAA Third District 2020 District Meeting

On May 23, 2020, the Brothers of Psi Alpha Alpha (PsiAA) chapter, Third District, Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. attended the Third District meeting with tremendous support as demonstrated by 51 PsiAA Brothers in attendance. This year's event was to be hosted by the PsiAA chapter. However, due to the current environment related to COVID-19 and the stay at home order in Virginia the meeting was held virtually by the Third District and is known to the Brothers of PsiAA as the "The best planned District meeting that did not happened". The meeting was attended by an estimated 256 Brothers, inclusive of Grand Officers, IHQ staff, District Representatives, and District and Fraternity Brothers.

The event was conducted in a first-class manner. The 41st Grand Basileus Dr. David Marion provide a gracious and very detailed account of the current state of the fraternity. Several other Grand Officers provided greetings to the Brothers. From an IHQ perspective, Executive Director Kenneth Barnes provided details related to current status of the IHQ operations. Third District Representative Kevin Brown provided a detailed account of the District's state of affairs, followed by the remaining Executive Council members, Area Supervisors, and some committee chairman. The Third District Election Committee Chair (Bro. Larry Brown - Alpha Omega) collaborated with the District's Automation Chair (Bro. Cornelius Beidleman - Psi Alpha Alpha) to lead and conduct the First ever Third District virtual election in true Omega fashion. The election ran very smooth.

PsiAA and BLB, First Responder’s COVID-19 Catering Donation – May 2020

On May 15, 2020, the Brothers of Psi Alpha Alpha (PsiAA) Chapter, Third District, The Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. and the Bernie L. Bates Foundation, Inc. (BLB), collaborated to make a positive impact on the First Responders in Fairfax, County, Virginia who are diligently working to ensure they manage the health and care for our residents who has been impacted, as a result of COVID-19. The chapter and BLB presented and pledge to donation a total of $5,000.00 in five monthly installments to various hospitals and/or healthcare institutions within Fairfax county. The Chapter’s Basileus (Brother Eric Kelly, Sr.) and the Foundation’s Treasurer (Brother Jeff Owens) donated the first of five monthly contributions to Rx Catering – DC Metro. The $1,000.00 check was presented to Ms. Cheron Burns, a minority business owner, at her office to provide an estimated 100 meals to the caregivers at INOVA Lorton Hospital Emergency Room, Kaiser Woodbridge Emergency Room, and Mount Pharmacy in Fairfax County, Virginia.

Dedication Distance Run – Ahmaud Arbery

On May 8, 2020, the Brothers of Psi Alpha Alpha (PsiAA) Chapter, Third District, The Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. participated in the Dedication Distance Run in support of social and judicial injustice towards the African American community. Ahmaud Arbery was senselessly killed while on a refreshing and leisurely jog through the city. There were several Brothers who participated by taking time from their busy schedules to perform a 2.23 mile walk/run/jog for such a worth while and worthy cause.
