The Psi Alpha Alpha Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. hosted a memorable and impactful Achievement Week celebration, bringing together 140 guests for an afternoon of recognition, reflection, and fellowship. This year’s program was especially significant as the chapter proudly commemorated its 45th Anniversary, marking more than four decades of dedicated service to the Fairfax County community and beyond.
The celebration was elevated by the presence of a special guest, the Grand Basileus of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., Brother Ricky Lewis, who stopped by to show his support and commend the chapter for its continued excellence and commitment to uplifting others.
The program featured an inspiring keynote address from Brother LTG David “Thump” Wilson, whose remarks powerfully embodied this year’s Achievement Week theme, “Impactful Service Through Intentional Friendship.” His message resonated deeply with attendees, reinforcing the importance of purposeful relationships and service-driven leadership within the fraternity and the community.
Throughout the event, guests were treated to exceptional musical entertainment by Marvill Martin, a talented hip-hop violinist whose performances added energy and elegance to the afternoon.
The chapter also took time to celebrate its commitment to youth development and academic excellence. Recognition was given to Ms. Daneya Celestin, the winner of the 1st Place Talent Hunt, along with several outstanding students who were awarded scholarships through the Bernie L. Bates Foundation, reflecting the chapter’s ongoing investment in the next generation of leaders.
A special highlight of the program was the recognition of Mr. Noah Isirimah, a senior at Lake Braddock Secondary School in Burke, Virginia, and the chapter’s National High School Essay Contest 1st Place winner. Mr. Isirimah delivered his winning essay to the audience and was presented with a $500 scholarship check from the chapter in acknowledgment of his achievement.
In addition to honoring students and community partners, Basileus Ray Buckner recognized several brothers who reached milestone years of service within the fraternity, celebrating their dedication, longevity, and contributions to Omega Psi Phi.
The program concluded with the presentation of individual chapter awards, culminating in Brother Michael Frazierbeing honored as the Omega Man of the Year, a distinction recognizing his exceptional service, leadership, and commitment to the fraternity’s principles.
Overall, the 2025 Achievement Week celebration served as a powerful reflection of Psi Alpha Alpha Chapter’s legacy, impact, and unwavering dedication to service, friendship, and excellence as it proudly celebrated 45 years of Omega men building a better society.
