On 20 November 2018, the Psi Alpha Alpha (PsiAA) Chapter, Third District, Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. in conjunction with employees of New Hope Housing hosted their annual Thanksgiving Day dinner. The brothers volunteered their time and talent to prepare and serve a Thanksgiving Dinner at the Eleanor U. Kennedy Shelter. This was the second consecutive year the chapter has prepared and served Thanksgiving dinner for 75 individuals staying at the shelter.
The purpose of the event was to ensure those community members staying at the shelter receive a home cooked meal that consisted of fried turkey, yams, mash potatoes, veggies, beef brisket, stuffing, roles, drinks, and dessert. A wonderful time was had by all. There were numerous brothers of PsiAA who participated with great enthusiasm. Additionally, there were other staff (Eleanor U. Kennedy Shelter) and volunteers who considered it joy to assist PsiAA in this endeavor.
The staff at Eleanor U. Kennedy Shelter expressed their gratitude for us conducting this event and look forward to the PsiAA Chapter participating in the event next year.
